Family Friendly Films Family Friendly Films is a new program for families with babies and young children, sponsored by Cornerstone Church in Arcadia. It is a similar idea to ‘Reel Babies', but: 1) It’s free 2) All the movies are family-friendly The movies screened may be more for kids or more for adults, but they will always be family-friendly. The screening rights are paid for by Cornerstone, and there is no charge for admission. The movies are projected onto a large backdrop, there are comfortable (padded) seats, as well as a play area for kids in view of the screen. Like ‘Reel Babies’, it is not meant to be a noiseless setting – it is expected that kids will make some noise! There is a small nursery, a large open area and a kitchen downstairs to take kids out of the theatre setting if needed, and also will be the spot to meet afterward for snacks and conversation. Shepherd's Joy Concert: Shepherd's Joy was with us in concert on Sunday, February 15th at 6:30pm. Lonnie Townsend, member of the quartet since 2003, joined them for this concert. Lonnie suffered a motor vehicle accident last June. The following is quoted from their website...
"Please
be advised that Shepherd's Joy has cancelled all singing engagements
for the month of June due to Lonnie being in the Queen Elizabeth II
Health Sciences hospital in Halifax as a result of a motor vehicle
accident June 2nd. His recovery has been filled with complications, but
it seems more hopeful today as he may be getting out of ICU and into
the step-down unit. We know God can heal Lonnie and put him back on his
musical feet, singing for Him. We covet your prayers for him.
Thank you for your ongoing support and prayers,
For His purpose,
Shepherd's Joy"
It was great to have Lonnie and the rest of Shepherd's Joy with us for this concert, both to hear them minister in song and to hear of Lonnie's recovery.

Concert
with
Matt Brouwer
On
Dec. 28th Matt Brouwer
was with us for an evening of music
ministry and worship. We found Matt to be a kind and gentle young man
with a humble Christ-like spirit.
Besides being a fantastic musician with a great voice, all who attended found the message in his songs to be very challenging. We were challenged to live more committed Christian lives and to do more for our precious Savior.
Matt was born in Truro, N.S. but now lives near Huston, Texas. Matt travels extensively as a musician and a world Vision Rep. Visit his website at http://www.mattbro.com
